THREADGOLD PRESS

THREADGOLD PRESS

Threadgold Press came into being in 2007. The aim was both to publish and to gain insight into the publishing process. Anthony Furness set the text and designed the cover of the first book, Unseen Unsung.

Threadgold Press was a one-woman business and as that woman was needed for caring duties as well as an earning day-job, never mind the non-earning enterprise of writing a book, there followed a lengthy hiatus. Then in 2014 Threadgold Press caught up with the world and published an eBook edition of Unseen Unsung, followed swiftly by Border Line in both print and eBook.

2016 saw the publication by Pen & Sword of my non-fiction book on the story of a group of Far East POWs.

A Small Rain published by independent publisher, under the Rhapsody (now Braiswick) imprint.

The history of Threadgold Press

2017 marks a new move as Threadgold Press will be publishing Edwin Green’s work Calling London. This is a scholarly and entertaining book. It charts the activities of individual bankers from the Overseas Branch of the Midland Bank as they travelled the world. They sent back reports of local businesses and political and social conditions in countries where the bank had interests, often at crucial moments in history.
